What Are the Benefits of Hotgen’s Up-Converting Phosphor Technology (UPT) Products?

Applying Up-Converting Phosphor Technology, Hotgen’s UPT products are set to enhance the precision and stability of fluorescence detection methodology products. The UPT applies the anti-Stokes effect of rare earth materials, which could emit high-energy (short-wavelength) visible light when excited by low-energy (long-wavelength) infrared light. This unique feature removes almost all interference in the background of diagnostic results, lifting the signal-to-noise ratio significantly, which means much higher precision than the traditional fluorescence or colloidal gold products. Being inorganic molecules, the up-converting phosphor particles are more stable against environmental factors, in contrast to organic fluorescence materials. Therefore, the products are more stable and durable with an improved precision, comparing with traditional lateral flow immunoassays.
